Endures to the End

Today’s Encouragement is, “Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:12:13

Endures to the end –

Jesus describes “the end of the age” (or the world) with vivid imagery. But sums it up with this statement.  Notice His wording (which is always exact, never careless).

The Love of many will grow cold.

Love?  What about faith, devotion, obedience, these other attributes of His followers, the believers?

Sin will be rampant (don’t we already see that?). And the love of many people will grow cold.

How does love grow cold?

And what love are we considering?

Our love for others, for God?

Remember, “Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT

So love will grow cold!  And this occurs as the end of the age grows closer.  But wait, my friend, it reads ‘the love of many,’ not ‘the love of all.’

We can be different! We can continue to live and to love as God intends us to, enduring the challenges and troubles of this life, even to the end.  Our love must not grow cold!

Father, please help us, You know our hearts!  Help us endure and continue to love sincerely, first You, then others.  We remember your perfect and sincere love.

How Great is the Love
