The Wonderful Truths –
I woke up, got my coffee, sat in my chair, reached over to pick up my Bible, and a thought came to mind. “How incredibly blessed I am to have the Word of God!” It’s always available, in my language, in a readable format, filled with the wisdom of Eternity; it reveals the message of hope, eternal life, forgiveness of sin, the Love of God for all mankind, even for me, and so much more! From beginning to end, it is infused with the message of Jesus, Lord of Lords, Risen Son of God, Author and Perfector of our Faith, and the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
How could we ask for, expect, or need anything more? How could God give us anything more than this timeless collection of Wonderful Truths? But He did! The Word became flesh! (John 1:14) He gave us Jesus, the Word of God.
How incredibly blessed are we? We have unfettered access to His Wonderful Truths. And then, we have the privilege (this is beyond reason) to ask Him, the Creator, to help us see these wonderful truths!
We cannot accept or comprehend the infinite power and grandeur of His Truth without God’s action, invitation, and opening the eyes of our souls to take in the wonderful truths of His message of Love. Without this, it’s just another book. But with His touch, it is the very Wisdom of God!
Father, we are overwhelmed by Your goodness. Please open our eyes to the wonderful truths of Your written Word, and the Word who became flesh, Jesus our Lord.
