Today’s Encouragement is, “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:16-17 NLT
With Thankful Hearts –
Gratitude is a beautiful thing. Whenever it is given, it blesses both the recipient and the giver. There is no loss to either party. Everyone is better for it.
Often, we can’t find or see anything to be grateful for; it’s sadly true for too many of us. But my friend, regardless of the tragic circumstances of your life at this moment, and for some, this intensity is certainly overwhelming, we believers always have much to be grateful for!
Like what?
God’s Grace, we are forgiven! Not by our own efforts, but by faith in Jesus alone.
We are overcomers.
We have assurance of Eternal Life.
We are comforted by God’s own Holy Spirit, who lives within us and will never leave us!
We can never be separated from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
And there’s even more!
My friend, if we can’t be grateful to God for the many immeasurable blessings that are ours in faith through Jesus Christ… if these aren’t enough for unlimited praise, worship, and thankful hearts… then – we must be missing something.
Father, when we consider the incredible blessings that You have already given, promised, and prepared for us, we are overcome with genuine thankfulness! You are so good to us!
