Use My Name –
The Name of Jesus is the name above all names. (Philippians 2:9) Our connection with Jesus causes God to hear and answer our prayers – because we use His name.
This is why we close our prayers with,” We pray/ask in Jesus’ Name.” We bring our needs to the Father and ask Him, using the Name of Jesus, because Jesus gave us permission.
When we apply for a job, we need references; Jesus is our reference. He’s our credibility, our friend, our associate, and so much more.
We have been given the fantastic gift of His Name, which we can use whenever we need it.
- When we are afraid, we can pray to the Father in Jesus’ name for protection, courage, and comfort.
- When tempted to sin, we can pray for strength and deliverance in Jesus’ Name.
- When faced with problems, doubts, or depression, we can pray for solutions, faith, and hope in Jesus’ Name.
This is why we cannot use His name lightly, as a cuss word. Because – His Name is Power.
Father God, thank You for the all-powerful Name of Jesus, for the privilege of coming to You in His Name, for hearing and answering every prayer we ask using His Name. Help us to respect His Name appropriately. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
