Letting The Spirit Control –
We Let – one or the other – control our minds. We may call it or believe it is fate, our past, with its trials and traumas, or karma, the stars, circumstances, or the people around us! But only one thing will control our minds.
We – Let! We choose! We allow, submit to, give control to, put our lives in the hands of… all euphemisms for surrender!
And what are we surrendering to? The Bible indicates that there are only two options. The sinful nature, which is often called the flesh, sin, self-will, the world, or God’s Spirit.
As believers, God’s Spirit lives in us (1 Corinthians 3:16 & 6:19). This is Truth! Now, we can listen to His Spirit – often, occasionally, or never, yet His Presence is always there! We can have either a growing, vibrant relationship with Him or a cold, dormant, and stagnant relationship. We Let! We Choose!
Only one option “leads to life and peace;” all other choices lead to death.
What do we Let control our minds? Choose now, today, to simply “Let” – God’s Spirit – control your mind! And then enjoy the life and peace He brings!
Father, help us to let, allow, choose, and surrender to Your Spirit’s control of our minds. Speak to us, show us, teach us to surrender everything we are to You. Help us choose to love and surrender to You alone, with all our hearts, souls, and minds. (Matt 22:37)
Only You can lead us to life and peace.
