Today’s Encouragement is, [Jesus said,] “I have revealed you [God] to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” John 17:26 NLT
Will Be In Them –
Now that Jesus has revealed God the Father to us and continues to do so, God’s Love for Jesus- is in us! And Jesus- is in us!
We are not reluctantly adopted stepchildren tolerated by a patient but disinterested father. Instead of that false picture, we are fully embraced by God’s Love! God loves us – with the same Love that God has for Jesus!
It’s worth repeating! God loves you and me just like He loves Jesus!
And how much love is that? It’s complete, perfect, all-in, no-reservations, unlimited, pure, wholehearted, and perfect Love.
God’s Love and Jesus Himself are IN us! (John 17:26)
God’s Spirit lives in us! (2 Timothy 1:14)
These are fantastic, mind-blowing, only-believable-by-faith – absolute Truths of God. No one in their right mind would dare to claim this! Yet Jesus said it!
If you inherited a million dollars from a long-lost relative who left you instructions to the bank, the account numbers, and all that you needed to claim it, would you say, “I can’t believe that it’s too fantastic!” or “But I don’t feel rich!” You’d need to have just enough faith to follow the instructions and go see for yourself. This is our faith journey.
Father, we are more than amazed by You! We are overwhelmed, overcome, and in complete awe of You and Your Truth. Help us; give us faith to trust, accept, and live within (to dwell in) Your Truth!
