Today’s Encouragement is, (We’re almost finished) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Exceeds our understanding-
(I pray you aren’t tired of this remarkable passage; tomorrow will be the last day. This repetition helps us remember God’s Truths.)
Other translations read – the peace which- ‘is beyond our understanding,’ ‘passes all understanding,’ ‘surpasses understanding,’ and ‘transcends all understanding.’
God’s Peace doesn’t make sense, given our circumstances! Those who don’t know Him will think we are crazy to be at peace in this situation because it doesn’t make any logical sense in this predicament! Friend, it is not our circumstances that provide our Peace… instead, it is – Him!
When we follow the wisdom of today’s scripture, choose Faith over worry, pray about everything, and tell God our needs in thankfulness and gratitude, then His Peace comes… a Peace that isn’t logical in this situation.
(God is not limited by man’s determination of what is logical. Who decided that God must meet our definition of logical?)
Thank You, Father God, that You and Your Peace are far greater than anything we can understand in our limited human capacity. Help us believe, trust, and seek Your Peace.
