Today’s Encouragement is still focused on, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Thank Him —
A thankful, grateful prayer is much more powerful than a doubtful, uncertain prayer. God doesn’t ever reject our prayers. He always hears, understands, and responds—always! He can do this because He is God; we cannot understand how He could—because He is God and we ain’t!
And because we are not God, praying from an attitude of thankful, grateful Trust is helpful. As we pray, we can say, “Father, Thank You for listening to me. Thank You for the privilege of coming to You with this need; thank You for all You have done and that You are going to do!”
When we pray with thankful, grateful hearts, we express our Faith that God will hear, act, and take on the burdens and cares we have – so that we don’t continue to carry them. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Father, we thank You that You care about us. Help us to bring all our cares and worries to You, Trust You, leave our burdens with You, and live in sincere gratitude and thankfulness for Who You are, all You’ve done, and all You will do for us! We pray in Jesus’ Name.
