Today’s Encouragement is, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
God’s Peace –
I’ve been ‘an expert’ on worry most of my life, but I’m finally gaining some freedom, and this passage is the key to that freedom!
For the next several days, we’ll focus on this powerful, encouraging, hope-filled, and promise-filled passage. It’s a great one to memorize; it provides wisdom and guidance on how to stop worrying, pray, and have God’s Peace! It’s a how-to verse for dealing with the stress of this life, our chronic propensity to worry, fret, and obsess.
“I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalm 119:11). When we hide the Word of God in our hearts, remembering, memorizing and thinking about it, we can resist Sin!
So, read and re-read this passage in Philippians, and break it down into bite-sized phrases to help you remember and hide it in your heart.
Don’t worry about anything;
Instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need,
And thank him for all he has done.
Then, you will experience God’s Peace,
Which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds,
As you live in Christ Jesus.
Father help us to hide Your word in our hearts, beginning with this passage, and please Lord, fill us with Your perfect Peace as we strive to apply the truths of this passage to our lives!
Peace
