Today’s Encouragement is, “This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NLT
God Is With You –
God personally spoke these words to Joshua as he began to lead the nation after Moses’s death. More than a million people were facing huge challenges, and perhaps Joshua was a little bit intimidated by the task (“Don’t be discouraged”). Repeatedly, he was instructed to “Be Strong and Courageous!”
We wonder if such words can apply to us as believers. Was this meant for Joshua alone? In His final discourse, Jesus made this point clear, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. John 14:16 NLT This assurance is repeated, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5a ESV
We are NEVER Alone. God will not abandon us! He is always WITH us. He does not judge, condemn, criticize, or critique, but He strengthens us, lives within and through us, makes us alive, and loves others through us!
Thank You, Father, that your presence in our lives is assured and makes us Strong, Courageous, and Loving! Help us look to You, and You only, for everything we need. You are our source of Life and every good thing. Thank You, Lord!
