Today’s Encouragement is, “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” 2 Corinthians 4:17 “(NLT)
Our Present Troubles –
Is it possible – that whatever trouble you are facing right now, battle, problem, illness, pain, grief, or even a life-and-death struggle… could be seen as minor and temporary? Especially when considered in the light of eternity. Is it just possible?
We tend to see our current problem as the biggest, the worst, the ‘end of it all’ before us. It indeed looms ominously. How could this be ever considered ‘light and momentary’? Only with God’s perspective. He knows the end from the beginning, exactly how and when this crisis will be resolved. He’s not surprised or anxious about it.
Wouldn’t it make sense to try, just try, to see things, even with our limited abilities, from His perspective? This passage says that our troubles in this life are only minor inconveniences, and they produce for us “Glory!”
Lord, grant us eyes of faith to see Your hand at work in helping us with today’s troubles and it’s blessings. Help us to know You are holding us closest when we need You.
