For You I Wait

Today’s Encouragement is, “Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” Psalm 25:5 ESV

For You I Wait –

The Bible has many verses like this: “Wait for the Lord.”

And we are promised blessings when we wait for Him.

Who?  The lesser always waits for the greater person.  When we grow impatient in waiting, we assume that we (our time) are more important than the one we are waiting for.

When?  All day long, as long as it takes, months, years.  God has perfect timing. Waiting for Him is not idle time, but mindfully and prayerfully setting our wants, needs, and schedules aside to allow Him to have first place, full preeminence over our lives.

Why? We need something.  We wait for the doctor because we need medical help. We wait in line because we need to pay for these groceries. We wait for God because we need His Truth, Teaching, and Guidance.

Where?  Wherever we are physically and spiritually.  We can wait for Him in any location, and our relationship with Him is spiritual.

How? (Remember, we do nothing perfectly.) Read His Word. Pray, ask Him for guidance, wisdom, deliverance, whatever you need… and then, my friend, wait for Him.  His response is always worth infinitely more than the minutes, days, months or years we spend – waiting for Him.

Here. Now. Just as we are.  We can choose to wait for Him.

And He will lead us in Truth and teach us.

Father, You are our God. Help us to wait for You to guide us, teach us, and show us the Truth.

I Will Wait For You
