Always Remember

Today’s Encouragement is, “Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach.” 2 Timothy 2:8 NLT

Always Remember –

Sometimes, we get too focused on our immediate needs, issues, concerns, or problems. We forget to look up, look around, remember the past, or consider the future; we have become slaves to the immediate.

It’s important to live in the present, not worrying about the future or past, but it’s also important to recognize that this difficult time we may be in is just a season; it isn’t the end nor perpetual. Things can change, and we have a future.

Similarly, there are things we need to remember. For example, Jesus was raised from the dead! He is victorious over death! And He died for us, to set us free!

He also taught us to celebrate with Him through Communion or the Lord’s Supper and to remember Him, both His sacrifice and His resurrection!

Remembering Him, His Truth, His Power, and His Love for us gives us a solid rock, a firm foundation to stand on when the troubles of this life threaten to knock us down.

God, our Father, we thank You for Jesus, who died but was raised from the dead so that we could be free and be Your people forever.   Help us to remember, to never forget.
