Today’s Encouragement is, “that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) [6] For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:5-6 NLT
United With Christ –
God raised you and me from the Dead!
Along with Christ!
And – (He’s not finished!) God seated us- along with Christ!
In the heavenly realms!
All because – We. Are. United. With. Christ.
You might want to reread that.
We believe in Jesus, and this belief saves us. We are certainly saved through faith. But God, who is rich in Mercy, doesn’t stop there!
We aren’t just people like everyone else on this earth, but who have a free pass for our sins! We are identified with Jesus! Not just by the label “Christian,” but in much deeper, more mysterious, supernatural terms…
We. Are. United. With. Christ!
Like marriage- two become one- that kind of United!
Notice the past tense of this message: “He gave us life”, “raised us from the dead”, and “seated us with Him”. Already, my friend! God has already done this!
Now, we can choose to accept it, believe it, rejoice in it, or…
When we embrace this truth, we realize that no evil, fear, sin, or tragedy – nothing can separate us from God’s Love! (Romans 8:38)
Father, we are amazed at all You have already done for us and what You have already given us as Your chosen people. We recognize that our gratitude and love are not enough, yet we bring all that we have to You.
