Today’s Encouragement is, “Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, ‘That’s how many descendants you will have!’” Romans 4:18 NLT
No Reason for Hope-
God promised Abraham that he would become the father of many nations and that he and Sarah would have a child even in his advanced years. This promise wasn’t logical, and it wasn’t even biologically possible, yet Abraham believed in God. He did not weaken in faith (v. 19). Abraham’s faith, which was considered right standing before God, made him right with God. Our faith in Christ gives us this same righteousness, i.e., right standing. (v. 24)
Friends, our faith is totally inconsistent with the logic and wisdom of this world. Man’s wisdom usually doesn’t align with God’s wisdom. Man’s greatest intelligence, accomplishments, achievements, abilities, capabilities, and philosophies… is foolishness before God!
Just Faith, my friends; Hope when there is no tangible reason for Hope.
Father, help us continue to place all our Hope, Faith, and Confidence in You alone! You are God; we are the people of your pasture, the flock under Your perfect and loving care…. We trust in You alone!
