Today’s Encouragement is, “The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3 NLT
Character of God –
Amazing! Jesus Christ expressed the very character of God. He did so perfectly, not incompletely, but accurately, ideally, and faultlessly.
When we consider Jesus, all of Him… all of his behavior, expressions, words, actions, and teachings – we see, perfectly revealed- the very character of God Himself!
He told His disciples, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father!” (John 14:9b)
God wants us to know His Very Character, so Jesus came to reveal Him to us.
So, when you wonder what God would say or do or how He would guide and direct you, it really is wise to ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?”
We wore it out a few decades ago, literally wore it! But it’s still Wisdom.
Because Jesus did and said exactly what He heard from God His Father… (John 5:19).
So that we can clearly and confidently know God’s will, His character, and His glory. Just look to Jesus!
Father, thank You for Jesus, who perfectly exemplifies Your Character. Thank You for the immeasurable privilege of knowing You through Jesus, Your Son, who has already cleansed us from our sins.
