He Cares About You

Today’s Encouragement is, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NLT

He Cares About You – 

The Amplified Bible reads, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

God loves you so much (John 3:16) that He reminds you repeatedly in the Bible that He takes care of you.  He is our Provider, Protector, Deliverer, and “ever-present help in time of trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

But we forget; we see trouble at the door and allow fear into our hearts. We begin to doubt Him and spiral into fear and despair.  As surely as we can look down, we can also look up.  Look down to choose fear and doubt; look up to Him to choose Faith and Hope.  It’s always our choice.  God never changes.  

We needlessly carry our worries, fears, and anxieties! God says, “You don’t have to carry that. Let Me have it.  I can handle it.”

Father God, help us to accept this truth, deeply root it in our hearts, and firmly establish our faith in You.  When worry and fear have us wind-blown and storm-tossed, help us to look up, give all our worries and cares to You and say to our soul, ‘God will take care of you.’
