Today’s Encouragement is, “I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the LORD has spoken!” Ezekiel 37:14 (NLT)
You will live again –
In chapter 37, Ezekiel recounts his amazing experience with God. God brings him to a valley filled with dry bones, symbolic of the spiritual deadness of the nation they despaired: “All hope is gone!” (v 11)
But God…
Friends, what can be more devoid of hope than dry bones? No one would ever give the slightest thought to dry bones ever coming to life… But God…
“So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.” Ezekiel 37:10
They came to life! God caused the flesh to be restored (v8) and breath to restore their spirits (v9), and DRY BONES began to LIVE AGAIN!
One can argue that this was ‘just a vision,’ that it’s only symbolic, that it was ancient history… yet my friends, isn’t this what God does in us when we accept Jesus as Savior? “You have been born again.” 1 Peter 1:23
No matter how hopeless our situation may appear, God isn’t finished with us! Our Hope is Eternal for both this life and the next! We will LIVE AGAIN!
Father, strengthen our Hope and our confidence in Jesus so that we do not despair, regardless of our circumstances… for we place our trust in You above all else.
Christ, our Hope in Life and Death
