Today’s Encouragement is, “The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” Psalm 23:1 NLT
My Shepherd –
Sadly, we often lose the power of words we’ve heard too frequently. The words haven’t lost their power and meaning, yet we lose the ability to hear that power and meaning.
As with this beautiful, familiar Psalm, the power and meaning remain… He is our Shepherd, guide, leader, protector, provider, and the Source of all we need and could ever want! He is our Good Shepherd (John 10:11)
“I have all that I need” – do we? Do we recognize that? All we need – is found in Him, provided by Him. And we have (already!) all we need! That’s precisely what shepherds do; they provide all the sheep need protection, food, water, everything!
My friends, please recognize and then rest in this truth… Jesus Himself is your guide, protector, and provider. And because of this… we can recognize and rest in all He provides; He is all we need.
(From this song) “Father, You’re all I need, my soul’s sufficiency, my strength when I am weak, the love that carries me. Your arms enfold me till I am only a child of God.”
