His Unfailing Love

Today’s Encouragement is, “For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Psalm 103:11-12 NLT

His Unfailing Love – 

Was David (the man after God’s heart) mistaken about God? 

Were these statements made as hyperbole, exaggeration, or deceit? 

Does this apply to only ‘really good people’ but not to me?

We try so hard to remove ourselves from God’s Immeasurable Love and Grace!  We inherently recognize that we deserve punishment for our wrongs; we all do. And we, in human, natural thinking… absolutely Do!  

But God!  He has a different plan. His own supernatural (beyond human nature) plan.  One is based on love, grace, forgiveness, mercy, and faith in Jesus.  

Reread the verse. Our sins are removed from us! An immeasurable distance!  As far from East to West!  Further than we can imagine!  

Notice, this is all sin. There are no qualifying words… no exceptions for really bad or recent sins, no intentional or unintentional carve-outs, and no future sins, either! And friend, this includes our future sins as well! 

Friend, this means – We are forever Free!  Because of the unfailing, everlasting Love of God. 

Father, we gratefully accept Your Love and forgiveness.  Help us daily remember the Grace You have given so freely and altogether, and never again be victimized by guilt and shame for our sin… which You have already removed.  We are amazed and grateful!
