This I Declare –
“Well, I declare!” was an old expression of surprise or delight.
Consider with me: What is a declaration?
What do you choose to declare?
What is the declaration of your heart, your life?
Psalm 91 is David’s powerful song of God’s blessing, protection, and provision. It is his declaration of trust in God’s goodness and protection for His own chosen people.
David Declared –
God alone is my refuge,
God is my place of safety,
He is my God,
and I will trust Him.
Now, my friend, what do you declare? What do you think of God? Is He your safe place? Your Hope, your trusted Friend, and your God?
I trust that you believe this, but – Have you declared it, spoken it out loud, confidently declaring this to yourself, Him, and others?
It is one thing to think, another to believe, and yet another to declare.
Try it. Now. Declare your own statement of Faith in God. He doesn’t need it, but you and others – might need it desperately.
Father God, give us clarity of mind, courage of heart, and Your wisdom- to Declare our Faith and Hope in You and our Love for You.
