Today’s Encouragement is, “It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.” Psalm 92:2 NLT
It is Good –
You may have heard this verse reflected in succinct and sage prayer advice, “Ask Him every morning and thank Him every night.”
When we wake, before anything else, we can focus our hearts and minds on God. We can proclaim His unfailing Love for us every morning, choose to believe Him, trust Him, and ask Him for what we need today, like His Peace, Courage, Confidence, Hope, whatever it is that we need at that moment.
Before your feet hit the floor, before coffee, proclaim His Love, and ask Him – early!
When the day is over, thank Him for His faithfulness, for what He has done for you, and for what He has done through you this day. Expressing thanks to Him leads to a grateful heart, focusing on what He has already done for you rather than on what you still lack.
Can you see the wisdom of this? The alternative is a focus on our problems, concerns, our work, the tasks of the day… which brings us only more stress and anxiety.
Instead, we can choose to trust Him, focus on Him, and pray.
Father, we desire this – to focus on Your unfailing Love each morning and Your faithfulness each night. Help us to live lives of thanks and praise for Your immeasurable goodness to us!
