Today’s Encouragement is “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT
Right With God –
So that –
We could be made –
Right with God –
Through Christ!
Certainly, we are nothing without Him (John 15:5), indistinguishable from the mass of humanity, going nowhere, accomplishing nothing of lasting value, and living a life of meaninglessness. But THROUGH Christ, my friends, Everything is different; everything is renewed and made right, granted significance!
This passage proclaims the unimaginable truth… in Him, we become…
Right With God!
How is this possible? Only by Jesus, the One who took our place… who became sin! He became our Sin! Took it on Himself…
And the exchange, my friends, the unimaginable, divine exchange…? When He took our sin, He stepped into our place… and then – We stepped into His place! Into His Righteousness, …perfect righteousness (right standing with God!)
Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are Right With God!
Father God, this is just too wonderful for us to comprehend. First, Jesus would take upon Himself – All our sin, and second, in this unimaginable divine exchange, You would allow us to become entirely Right with You! Help us to accept this overwhelming, astounding Truth, Lord!
