Word of Encouragement

Today’s Encouragement is, “After the usual readings from the books of Moses and the prophets, those in charge of the service sent them this message: ‘Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, come and give it.’” Acts 13:15 NLT

Word of Encouragement – 

This world, especially the news media, is full of discouragement!  What we need, in stark contrast, is Encouragement! (a daily dose! ) 

What Encouragement would that be? So glad you asked… 

Here is a sampling:

Be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:9)

The Lord fights for you. (2 Chronicles 20:17)

Even though you have lots of troubles, Jesus has overcome it all. (John 16:33)

He will never leave nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)

He is our peace (Ephesians 2:14)

He is our refuge, our place of safety. (Psalm 62:8) 

We have eternal life through faith in Jesus (John 3:15)

And this is just a sample!  The Bible is filled with Encouraging words!  We need to see them, hear them, believe them… and take God at His (Encouraging) Word!  And we can then give it!  When we absorb, believe, accept, embrace, and so begin living IN God’s word, we have the greatest treasure!  We can then give, out of that rich treasure, generously sharing the encouragement that God has provided for us! 

Thank You, Father God, for the Encouragement, blessings, wisdom, counsel, and Truth You have provided us in Your Word. Help us to believe it, accept it, and then share it.
