Take Heart

Today’s Encouragement is, [Jesus said,] “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NLT

Take Heart –

The world seems to be spiraling closer to chaos!  Political crisis, divisions, inflation, wars, strikes, shortages, terrorism, moral decay- what is going on?

Exactly what God has already told us! 

[Jesus said,] “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.” Matthew 24:7-8 NLT

“Wait, isn’t this supposed to be encouraging?”  Yes, and here is the encouragement…

God knows this; He has already warned us. Over 2000 years ago, He described our current state and offered us the eternal and comprehensive solution to all of it. Take heart! Because Jesus has overcome it all!

Friend, you and I know the outcome.  This world will pass away! (1 Corinthians 7:31) but His Word and His people will not!

We have peace in Christ! (John 16:33) Our faith in Him gives us peace and allows us to Take Heart, be Encouraged, and be Strengthened because we know how it all turns out! We’ve read the Bible account! He knows the beginning and the end; He IS the beginning and the end! 

Thank You, Father, for giving us the truth about this earthly life, our eternal spiritual life, and all things!  You have told us what will happen and that You are in complete control!  You have overcome everything.
