Today’s Encouragement is, “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NLT
The Truth –
Jesus had no questions (of any kind!) about His identity. He clearly stated Who He is, was, and always will be!
This scripture would be the statement of an insane person… unless… they were true! CS Lewis stated that Jesus had to be a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord. He couldn’t be only a prophet, a great teacher, or a spiritual guide because He made such statements! Including, “Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” John 14:11a NLT
And He also told us clearly that there is another person, entity, or being who is the father of lies (John 8:44), which means all lies come from this one. He is the deceiver (Revelation 12:9) and the enemy of our souls. So, what lies might we be deceived by? Try these on: “I’ll never get free of this addiction.” “I don’t deserve God’s love or anyone’s.” “I never get a break.” “The worst things happen to me.” “If there is a God, he doesn’t care about me.” And the list goes on.
We learn the Truth by reading the Book He gave us!
The Father of Lies
Vs
I am the Truth
The lies and accusations of the enemy vs – The Truth!
Thank You, Father, for providing us with The Truth—the Truth about your Love, Your Son, and Your Will, as well as the Truth about our enemy and his lies. Help us to learn The Truth and so become truly Free as Your own people.
Don’t miss this one!
But the Cross
