Today’s Encouragement is, “Then he says, ‘I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.’” Hebrews 10:17 NLT
Never Again –
Did you see that? Read that? Hear that?
These are God’s words. He will never again remember our sins, crime, filthy or careless or hate-filled words, thoughts, or deeds! Never!
Now, we don’t understand this; we find it impossible to believe and almost unjust! God is just forgetting all the bad things that we have done!
Here’s why. God sees His children, all of us who believe in Jesus, as entirely and eternally forgiven and completely clean, pure, and righteous… just like He sees Jesus!
Here are a few confirming verses for this critical Truth:
1 John 1:7 NLT
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
Galatians 3:27 NLT
And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.
Isaiah 53:5 NLT
But he [Jesus] was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Father, help us to believe. All that You say, all the Truth of Your Word, including that which our flesh fights against… let our spirits surrender to Your wonderful grace, and accept that You have not only forgiven us who believe in Jesus, but You’ve forgotten all our sin, past, present, and future. How can we thank You enough?
