Rejoice All Day Long

Today’s Encouragement is, “Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness. Psalm 89:15-16 NLT

Rejoice all day long –

Is it possible that – As we listen and participate in Worship, we are lifted from this world and brought to a spiritual plane, a place above earth, yet still below heaven, where He alone is the focus?  In these moments, “I” am no longer the focus. Our sin is erased, our struggle with flesh, our sinful nature is laid aside, and the cares of this world, our needs, and the needs of others, so often insatiable, are no longer of concern.

Our awareness, our focus, is – Only Him!

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20 NLT.

“No longer I!”

In Worship – it becomes God and us, musically entwined without restriction, reservation, or reluctance.  Nothing else matters; nothing else exists.

Our entire focus, sight, sound, mind, and spirit entirely absorbed in Him, rejoicing all day long.

Surely, this is but a taste of the reality of eternity, eternal praise, and worship of our Eternal Father God.

Nothing.

Else.

Matters.

Father, thank You for the gift of Worship! Help us turn from ourselves and turn to our rightful place of worshiping You – rejoicing all day long, free from the cares of this life, free to revel in Your Glory.
