Be Thankful –
“Thankful, really? In all circumstances, really? Do you have any idea what I’m going through? The stress I’m under! The grief I feel! The pain in my body! The abuse I have suffered! You just don’t understand! This is impossible!”
My friend, words from the Bible are not only words… they are the wisdom of God. We can ignore them, argue with them, or even laugh at them, but His Truth remains. Our circumstances change, our emotions and our minds change… “but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8b NLT
“Be Thankful” indicates a decision, a choice, and we all have this choice—our outlook, perspective, and attitude. In all circumstances, we still have this one choice…
And God’s wisdom says, Choose to Be Thankful.
This adage summarizes the key to being at peace, content, and victorious over our circumstances…
Choose to be grateful to God for what you do have,
not longing after what you don’t have.
Father God, help us choose wisely how we think and believe. Help us choose to be full of, filled with, and immersed in gratitude to You.
