He Loved Us

Today’s Encouragement is, “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2 NLT

He Loved Us –

An interviewer asked the theologian Karl Barth what he had learned after decades of study and scholarship. Barth said, “I have learned Jesus loves me; this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

The Gospel (the Good News) is clear and straightforward.

We are all sinners.

God has compassion for all.

God Loves Us.

He made a simple way for anyone to be saved – believe in Jesus.

We who believe are loved, forgiven, cleansed.

We are made part of God’s family and adopted as His own sons and daughters.

We are granted Eternal Life.
And much, much more!

As with all spiritual Truth – we may not sense it, feel it, can’t touch or smell it.  But we can choose to believe it. Our feelings and emotions are not the determining factor of Truth.  God’s Word is!

We can believe it or not.

Trust it or not.

But we can’t change it…

We “are His dear children…”. We are Loved.

Father God, strengthen our faith so that we may believe, know, and be confident in Your salvation, that You have already provided for us, and that we are now saved and loved as Your sons and daughters. Thank You for loving us.
