Will Last Forever –
We focus on our daily concerns 99.9% of the time. “My problem today is…,” “I’ve got to… today!” “God, give me strength today to…”
It’s as if we’re standing on the ocean’s shore, fixated on the swirling sand at our feet as the waves wash over them, oblivious to the vast ocean, the crashing waves, and the breathtaking sunset God has painted – just for our enjoyment. We stare instead at the grey sand and muddied water of this moment.
Yet, Our New Life will last forever!
Raise your eyes from the sand and the mundane matters you face just now. Open your mind to the beautiful sunset of God’s Truth. Lift your spirit from the problems of this day to consider the eternal truth of God’s word… Your New Life Will Last Forever!
Father God, we admit that we can’t begin to fathom “Forever,” but please grant us a glimpse of the beauty of Eternity. We are so attuned to our tiny little moment, our day. We rivet our attention to our little lives, needs, wants, problems, and issues. Help us raise our sight to see You and Your Beauty instead of ourselves.
