Today’s Encouragement is, “He [Jesus] will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” Luke 1:32-33 NLT
His Kingdom Will Never End –
Most of them do, don’t they? Our human kingdoms come to an end. The great empires of the past—the kingdoms of China, Greece, Rome, Great Britain, and quite likely America— have been born, grown, and then declined. Their kingdoms have ended.
Not so with our Lord Jesus! His Kingdom is forever, eternal, immortal, invincible, unending! He is our King Eternal!
When we consider the inevitability of our mortal, human existence and recognize our lives are limited, it can be rather upsetting! We wanted to do and experience so much, but time and money would not permit it.
It is also true for those who believe that our home is eternal, under the absolute control of our God, who is Love, who knows our name and cares for us with compassion and focus.
And we now, already, live within His Kingdom, and we will… Eternally.
We can rest in this Truth. God loves us. He has a purpose and a plan for us. We are secure in our relationship with Him because He has bought us with the highest price imaginable!
Father God, help us to know, believe, and rest within Your protective Love for us, assured of our home, today and forever, within Your Perfect Kingdom!
