Wait Patiently-
This message is crystal clear: “Wait! Patiently, Bravely, and Courageously – Wait for the Lord!
Waiting is an essential component of our Christian life. (Wish it wasn’t!)
Children are inherently impatient, wanting their food or our attention right now! They scream and cry when forced to wait, which usually works!
But we relate to our Perfect, Loving Heavenly Father as His adult children, not as demanding infants.
So, recognize that we need to wait. Perhaps we aren’t perfectly patient, but we can wait with trust and confidence that He has good in store for us, and because He is infinitely creative, we don’t know how He will provide what we need. But we are still confident that He will! “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NLT
Another thought is that the lesser person waits for the greater one, like a sheep to its shepherd. This is recognition of God’s greatness and our position as His people, second to Him in every respect. His timing, plan, and response are primary in every aspect…
So, we wait for Him.
Father, we choose to commit ourselves to waiting for You. We will wait in prayer, patient hope, brave faith, and courageous trust that You will provide everything we need.
