Lives In You –
Do you see the certainty? The absolute truth – stated without qualification. No alternative, ifs, ands, or buts!
The Spirit of God…
The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead…
Lives in you…
We might react with, “That’s not logical. I can’t feel it. How do I know? (The Bible says so!) But what does this mean? Why don’t I feel like it? I don’t deserve this! Surely, it’s just for really good Christians, not ordinary people like me!”
Please reread the verse. Now, choose to simply believe His Word. This is what God caused to be written, preserved for thousands of years, read by billions of people, pondered by scholars, mocked by most, dismissed by many, and yet – treasured, accepted, embraced, and believed by the few, the chosen, adopted children of God.
Jesus also made it clear, “He [the Spirit] lives with you now.” John 14:17
What if we quieted our hearts and minds, paused the noise of the world, and listened to His still, small voice?
Father God, speak to us through Your Spirit, living in us. We admit we don’t begin to understand, but we choose to believe. Help us to listen to You.
