Right With God

Today’s Encouragement is, “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT

Right With God –

Often, the word “righteousness” is used. In its simplest sense, it means being “in right standing, right relationship with God.”

Through Jesus Christ, we are made right (righteous) with God.

Did Jesus fail? Will He ever? Of course, He didn’t, and He won’t.  So, His work and His purpose are fulfilled.  And we who have faith in Him… are – made right with God…

Now, my friend, there is nothing, nothing, nothing that can change, undo, reverse, damage, stain, or mar… the perfect work of Jesus.  Our failures, sins, weaknesses, inadequacies… do not, cannot weaken in any way what Jesus Christ has done!

We cannot fall out of, slide away from, or be kicked out of this Right Relationship with God because we are secure, safe, protected, and blessed only by the work of Jesus and our faith in Him.

However, if we choose to place our faith in our own efforts: our church attendance, our good deeds, our obedience to the many laws of the Old Testament… then we step out of the Right Standing that Jesus provides for us and into our own standing… which ain’t never gonna be good enough!

But as we choose by faith in Jesus to remain in a right relationship, in righteousness, we can rest in the work that Jesus has done.

Thank You, Father, for making a way for us to be Right with You! Help us to rest in the completed work of Jesus.

Yet Not I but Through Christ In Me
