Today’s Encouragement is “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9b NLT
No Eye Has Seen –
I believe the Bible (you probably got that by now) and everything it says. I may not understand it, and it might not make sense, but I choose to accept it as it is, and I am confident in this belief. My limited human understanding and logical thinking process are incapable of understanding everything. No human can. If one could… that would not be a human, that would be God. Only He is Omniscient (all-knowing).
Now, Revelation contains a great deal of information that is beyond our understanding—so much so that many have dismissed it as too complicated and abstract; it must be purely symbolic or allegorical, just an old man’s dream.
I don’t know. I just read it, believe it, and trust that it has a purpose.
In 21:10, we see that a tremendously huge city comes down from heaven from God. A cube of almost 1400 miles! The city is pure gold, like clear glass (v. 18), and the walls are adorned with jewels (v. 19)!
Revelation tells us that John saw this city. This incredible sight has been seen!
But “No eye has seen, no mind has conceived…” No movie maker can portray; no writer can describe… it is beyond our human capacity to understand…
Thank You, God, that You did not limit the written word to what we humans could understand. You chose to give us glimpses of the future, of eternity, even of Yourself in the Bible. Help us accept and believe it, even those truths beyond our understanding.
No eye has seen
