He Ran

Today’s Encouragement is Luke 15:20 NLT So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

He Ran –

Ever wonder what God is really like?  What He thinks and sees when He looks at you and me?  There are a million questions we could ask.

But then, who are you gonna ask? Who do you believe?  Which “news” do you trust? They often contradict, so where is the truth?

Regarding God, which preacher are you going to believe? What scholar has the most wisdom about the nature of Almighty God?

Now, here’s an idea: what if we could hear directly from Him? What if He sent His own Son to reveal to us what He is like?

He did!

He who has seen me has seen the Father (John 14:9)

I and the Father are one (John 10:30)

Jesus also told this parable in Luke 15, and clearly, you and I are the wayward, sinful returning sons, and God is the watchful Father.

According to Jesus (and no one else matters), God is ready and completely willing to forgive, to embrace us with open arms, and to restore us as His own sons and daughters.  He is always ready, never tired, never discouraged, never doubting, always watching and waiting for us to come home – to Him!

His is Perfect forgiving Love. Limitless. Eternal.

God IS Love (1 John 4:8)

Thank You, Father, that You ARE love! Thank You that we can always, at any time, come home to You and be fully accepted, embraced, restored, and forgiven.

Heart of God
