Today’s Encouragement is 1 John 5:4 NLT For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
Through Our Faith –
The ESV reads, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.
Remember that the Truth is not determined by our experiences, thoughts, opinions, or our feelings; it is God’s word that defines the Truth.
Now, let this Truth soak in for a moment…
Every child of God, that is, everyone who believes, is “born of God” …
Through Our Faith in Him, our simply believing in Jesus…
Has, already, because of our faith…
Overcome and defeated this evil world!
Now, ask yourself… is this True? We look around at our circumstances, fears and failures, troubles and trials… and are tempted to say, “Heck No! Look at this mess I’m in!”
But remember, God sees us (and everything) differently than we do. He sees our circumstances even more clearly than we do… he truly knows us! And He wants us to understand that these circumstances do not define us… our past does not determine us, and our abilities do not describe us…
In God’s Truth –
We. Have. Already. Overcome and Defeated. This evil world.
Though Our Faith!
Thank You, Father, for Your Truth, so contrary yet infinitely greater than our own. Thank you, Jesus, for helping us in every way. Through Our Faith in You, we have also overcome and defeated this evil world!
