But Then

Today’s Encouragement is 1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

But Then –

This verse succinctly compares our current limited sight and knowledge in this earthly life… with the clarity and completeness of our eternal life.

“Now we see things imperfectly.” But Then… with perfect clarity! Now, our knowledge is “partial and incomplete,” But Then… everything and completely!

At times, the struggles of this life seem overwhelming, and truthfully, we will all experience the end of this life. It may be soon or distant, but inevitable…

But Then!!!

Years ago, during a conversation with a missionary friend, I expressed concern for the oppressed women in the Middle East. My friend’s response was profound, “They may see no hope for change in this life, but with Jesus, they have found immense joy in the life to come!” This is the power of our faith – “But Then!”

Father God, help us remember the eternal perspective, to recognize that You have prepared a place for us to live with You forever! In Joy, Peace, Clarity, and Completeness!

One Day
