Today’s Encouragement is Romans 12:2a NLT Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.
The Way You Think –
Have you ever known someone who just didn’t ‘think right?’ They can’t seem to connect with reality.
But for us as believers, God offers to change our minds… to transform us by changing how we think!
Notice the word “let.” We must ‘let’ God do this transforming work in our lives. He’s perfectly willing and infinitely capable, but He doesn’t force us, He merely invites!
And when we say ‘Yes, Lord’ to all He has for us, we begin to experience His wonderful blessings. And this “mind transformation” is one of the greatest blessings!
Notice also that God does this; His work, His power, not our own, brings about transformation! This process is so pervasive that we become totally new (2 Corinthians 5:17)!
God’s transformation process is evident in the lives of many believers. It is very fast for some, gradual for others, and unending for all. As long as we live on this earth, He continues to transform us.
When we are being transformed, our thinking begins to align with God’s Truth. For example, we no longer see ourselves as miserable, dirty sinners but as people made righteous, forgiven, and deeply loved by God. We see our future as bright, hope-filled, and sheltered by God’s loving hand. We have His Hope and His Peace in our hearts and minds, and we have growing confidence in Him to provide all we need!
Thank You, Father, that You will change how we think, transforming us into a new person, more like You.
