Today’s Encouragement is Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Your Own Understanding –
More good news! We don’t have to figure everything out! Our own understanding is unreliable! Don’t depend on your logic, knowledge, thoughts, and ideas…
Wait. Shouldn’t we be confident, self-assured, and bold? This verse clarifies that we need to rely on God, His Wisdom, and His Truth, not our own. Then, we can be confident in Him to lead, guide, protect, and strengthen us… < UNK> He will show us which path to take.
This is a challenge yet such a relief! We don’t need to know everything! God does. He’s our Father; He always guides us in the best paths! We just need to Trust in Him!
Our own understanding, human wisdom, and logic have been foolishly elevated to exceed God’s truth. Who are we to think we can understand God? Would He only act by what WE see as logical (our human logic)?
This verse helps me greatly… Isaiah 55:8 NLT “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
He is God; I’m not. His thoughts and ways are far beyond my human logic and understanding.
So, Trust and Rest in Him. Trust in His guidance and His paths. Trust in His complete and perfect understanding of everything, which relieves us of striving to understand… for if we did, we would be God!
Thank You, Father, for being our Guide, understanding everything, and allowing us to trust in You with all our hearts.
Trust in You
