Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 75:9 NLT But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
Always Proclaim –
I will – (a decision)
Always – (in all circumstances)
Proclaim – (speak, sing, think about)
Consider with me: what are the thoughts, the words, that you are “Always proclaiming?” And what are you singing?
We may call it attitude, outlook, or worldview… but we all recognize the truth in this verse. Matthew 15:18a NLT “But the words you speak come from the heart.”
Like it or not, we speak, most consistently and from our hearts, the thoughts, the perspectives, and the beliefs that we hold as true.
What does our heart, through our mouth, always proclaim?
For us, believers in Christ, sons and daughters of the Living God, redeemed from death, and living in God’s plans for us… nothing else is worth proclaiming!
And my friend, the blessing this truth births in us… is victory over all darkness, despair, and doubt! When we “always proclaim” what God has done, we focus on His power, His Goodness, and Love!
Any other focus, or topic, or proclamation… is futile! Worthless at best; destructive at worst!
When we “always proclaim,” especially in singing, there is no room for fear, sorrow, or depression!
Father God, when we consider all that You have done, we then must “always proclaim” – You! And Your goodness, Love, and power with all our lives, always! And with all of our words, all our thoughts, and with songs of joy, praise, and gratitude! You alone are worthy!
