Today’s Encouragement is James 3:17 NLT But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
Wisdom From Above –
Of course, this is God’s Wisdom. The Bible is full of it, and we can recognize His wisdom when reading His word. But we also hear many other words during the day, words of anger, frustration, despair, and sometimes of hope, peace, and truth.
Yet the truth is not always clear, so how do we distinguish? Is this godly wisdom, truth, or is it the wisdom of the world (man’s faulty ‘wisdom’).
Here is the ‘test’…
God’s Wisdom is:
Pure
Peace-loving
Gentle
Yielding
Merciful
Backed up by good deeds
No favoritism
Sincere
This scripture makes God’s Wisdom clear! We need not doubt – when we use His Word as our test of truth and wisdom!
Thank You, Lord, for providing so much for us in Your Word – the truth of Grace, Salvation through Jesus, and Your Wisdom. We are grateful!
