To Teach

Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 5:2 NLT and he began to teach them.

To Teach –

Throughout the Bible, God teaches us.  The word is used hundreds of times in the Old and New Testaments. Jesus was most often called “Teacher”.

It’s almost as if, stay with me for a moment, we were in school, and God was our teacher.

Now, school is a dirty word for me; it was miserable. Perhaps you had a great experience—I hope so—but regardless, please consider this analogy: a perfect God-led school.

Is it possible to consider our life on this planet as a perfectly designed and personalized learning experience? We enter this “school” when we accept that Jesus is Lord and surrender to Him. God is the principal, and Jesus is everything else… the classroom teacher, the counselor, the nurse, etc. Stay with me, please…

And He has an educational plan (Jeremiah 29:11) for you, according to His purposes, His Wisdom, and His plans for each of us.

So, He sets up our classroom and our entire learning experience (our lives) to meet His perfect plans for us, carefully and purposefully designed uniquely for each of us, His dearly loved children.

Should we not learn and continue to learn? When we complete this “educational” experience of life on this earth, we can graduate into eternity – fully prepared…

Now, this is an analogy, not perfect. We aren’t meant to stay in the classroom forever. Jesus sent them out two by two to teach, preach, and heal. We will live according to what we believe and what we have learned.

Father God, Teach us! Help us learn whatever You have for us.

Speak O Lord
