Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 12:7 NLT As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?
His Own Children –
We have all seen the tragic results of a child who never was disciplined. Perhaps also the tragic results of a child excessively or abusively disciplined.
Our Perfect Father God has no trial and error, no experiments, and no uncertainty. He knows precisely what is best for us. He knows our future just as clearly as He knows the past. And He has good plans for us, to bless us, not to harm us (Jeremiah 29:11).
So we can Trust Him – completely – in His direction of our lives… We clearly don’t know better than He does… we may have our wants and needs, but He KNOWS!
And He is Good, Kind, Loving, full of Mercy, Patience, and Perfect Love – The Good Father!
The word discipline has the same root as disciple: to learn!
We humans, all of us, want our own way, me, me, me! God knows this, understands, and is patient with us! So, He plans, teaches, disciplines, guides, speaks, and prepares precisely the right experiences for each of us individually… to help us grow to maturity as His sons and daughters!
Because – God IS Love… and we are His Own Children!
Father, we thank You for Loving us individually, caring for us, and instructing and disciplining us… in Your Perfect Wisdom and Love…
It’s hard for us to accept…
But we choose to Believe! To Trust You And To Love You.
