Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 12:1c-2a NLT And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Run With Endurance –
As a believer in Christ, our life is like a race. And we are the runner.
Honestly, I’ve never really liked running. Some do, I don’t. But I’ve done a little in my day, and one of the essential and fairly obvious aspects is – direction. Without a clear understanding of the finish, the goal, we don’t have much reason to run!
In our spiritual race, the ultimate goal, the very purpose of our running, is Jesus – the Champion! He is the One who ignites and perfects our Faith. Our race is not for personal gain but for the glory of Jesus.
Now, we don’t run this Race to get stronger, to become more fit, healthy, or better believers… we are all running in this race! Young and old, weak and strong… there’s no option to sit on the sidelines…
We must run with endurance, determination, and a clear objective focused on the Prize – Jesus.
Father God, this race is Your plan for us. You are Our Strength, our Hope, and our Everything. Help us endure the race, help us finish well, and help us keep our eyes on Jesus.
