I Am

Today’s Encouragement is Exodus 3:14a NLT God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.

I AM –

God doesn’t need to explain Himself…. He just IS. 

He has always been, and always will be.  He is not a God who was… or will be… but who eternally IS.

Jesus said “I am” also… remember?

I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.

I AM the Bread of Life

I AM the Good Shepherd

Just like his Father.  Jesus is I AM. And for whatever we need, Jesus answers, I AM.  Do we need a friend?  I AM.  Do we need someone to rescue us?  I AM.  Do we need to be reborn?  I AM.  Whatever need we may ever have… Jesus IS. 

He was, is, and forever will be – the I AM.

No further explanation is needed.

Father, we confess we don’t understand fully the power of these words. But You used this to describe Yourself, and Jesus did too.  So, we accept that there is great power and great truth in them.
