Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 3:16 NLT Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
Fill Your Lives –
Is it possible my friend, that the message of Christ, in all its richness, could be… Enough?
Enough to… fill our lives?
Enough to… allow us to teach and counsel others with His wisdom?
Enough to… cause us to sing to God with thankful hearts?
We can grow by digging deeply into God’s word, where we will discover its richness… the Richness of the Truth! We can also grow in our relationship with Him, Jesus calls us friends! And my friend… this is God’s desire for us!
This world lies to us! It tells us we have to fight for everything we want, that when we have lots of money, we will be happy! If we only have this or that thing (as advertised), have this or that relationship, career, etc., we will then – finally… be happy!
Lies! Just plain lies!
God’s word is the only Truth! That is, the ‘Message about Christ’ as put here.
We can let God’s word (all of His truth, especially Jesus) dwell in us, to live, and fill our lives. And when we do, our lives become full, overflowing, and rich.
How? Just Ask Him! This is what He wants for you – To Fill Your Life!
Father God, we desire to be filled by You. Nothing else will do. We ask, in Jesus’ Name… that Your Word, the Truth of Jesus, would so fill our lives, that we would overflow with Your wisdom to others and with grateful songs to You!
