Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 6:10 NLT For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
He will not forget –
It seems that God has a ‘selective’ memory. Here we read that he doesn’t forget the work we have done for Him, the love we have shown Him… But in Hebrews 10:17 NLT “Then he says, ‘I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.’”
Imagine that… God remembers the good we are doing and have done… but He intentionally chooses to, completely and eternally forget! (never again remember) our sins!
Nowhere else, no one else, no other ‘system of justice’, no human society, has such Grace. It’s unheard of! It seems unbelievable! It seems almost… Unfair, at least, unwise!
Now, I didn’t ‘think this up’; it is not from my imagination. It’s from God’s word…
Do you choose to believe?
And did you notice? Our caring for other believers… is showing Love to Him!
Thank you, Creator, all-powerful and Loving God, for forgiving and forgetting our sins, mistakes, thoughtless and intentional… and for remembering every act of kindness that we do in Your Name. You are so very good to us.
