Today’s Encouragement is Colossians 3:15 NLT And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Always Be Thankful –
Once we fully recognize, accept, understand, and see, the incredible, too-wonderful-to-be-believed, free gift of salvation, grace, Love, and utter forgiveness which God has lavished upon us (Ephesians 1:8).
Once the magnitude of this immeasurable blessing becomes clear to us, and when contrasted with our complete unworthiness – our only appropriate response, as humans and as spiritual beings… must be… immeasurable and unlimited Thankfulness and Gratitude.
“Thank You God, for Jesus”, seems woefully inadequate but yet perfectly and succinctly true.
My friends, when we begin to recognize the immensity of blessings we have in Christ, then we begin to thank God for what we do have – instead of only asking Him for what we do not have.
A very simple practical tool for beginning the transformation to become a grateful child of God is to start every prayer with, “Lord, I thank You for…” and then begin to list your blessings.
It may be that once you begin to outline your many blessings this way, you find that your list of needs has become far less important.
Now, as you listen to this beautiful song, join the song, and make it your own prayer of extreme gratitude.
Lord, I thank You for… Salvation, Life, Breath, and Eternal Life so many wonderful blessings You’ve provided me.
Lord, you’ve been good to me
